Apple always arouses our desires. ; I painted it while staying in NY in 2010-11. It's a NY-themed painting. I found most people have Apple products in NY. Such a thick MacBook likes a contemporary witch’s mirror. We grow our love through the apple. This Apple sometimes changes like a forbidden fruit if we get too deeply involved in the mistake. Apple makes us mad. This painting images NY’s sociality and love life.

Five years from then, Apple logos already were ranged along with the Starbucks tables in Tokyo too.

2010-11年, New Yorkに滞在した一年の間に制作した作品です。街の至る所にある、スターバックスの店内を外でウインドウ越しから眺めてみたら、満席の長テーブルをMacBookのアップルマーク達が光りを点しながら連なっている光景が眼に入り、当時は日本と違って皆Macだなぁと思いながら、自分を映すようにその薄い形態のMacBookを見つめる人の姿は、まるで白雪姫の魔女の鏡かのように私の眼に映りました。私達はMac達を通して心を通わせています。時に、のめり込み過ぎてこのリンゴは禁断の果実と化します。リンゴは古来、私達を誘発させ、惑わし続けています。アダムとイブに限らず多種多様な性別を持つこの大都会NYを通じて現代社会を表現してみました。

５年後には、すっかり東京のスタバもアップルマークが連なって光るようになっていた。
